October 4, 2008 - Attended the 51st Mid-South Poetry Festival in Memphis Tennessee, sponsored by the Poetry Society of Tennessee (PST). It was originally the Reader's Choice Award for poetry and published on the Voice Magazine for Women webpage and in the August 2008 edition of the print magazine. September 1, 2008 - Received a notification her poem Harvesting Smiles is published on the e-zine All Things Girl . It is reprinted in Poetry on this website.
August 28, 2008 - Rose read poetry for Alliance for Continued Learning at Wild Acres Retreat in Little Switzerland, North Carolina. Rose read Barn Charm and Macho Farm from her Poetry and Photography Collection entitled "Barn Charm". From her Photography and Poetry Collection "Schrom Hills Park" Rose read Vertically Challenged, Park Politics, and Park Planning. She also read her most recent poem Paw-pappy's Porcupine Recipe which is posted on www.FanStory.com and reprinted in Poetry on this website.
August 5, 2008 - at Zazzy'z in Abingdon, VA - Rose read from the journal "Iguana Review" her published poems Ever Forever and Obedience Trained. Both poems are reprinted in Poetry on this website.
